After re-establishing our women’s program in the summer of 2020/2021, our mission has been to build the most inclusive and supportive environment possible, where every player has the opportunity to succeed and thrive.
Newport is committed to delivering a baseball experience that works for everyone. Whether you have represented Australia, are an emerging young talent or are simply looking for a fun and active way to meet new people, learn new skills and stay healthy, our program is designed to adapt to your needs. Our athletes range from 13 to 50 plus and are united by their passion for the sport and the community surrounding it.
The program continues to attract and develop exceptional talent. This includes former Australian Emerald Leslie Anglin, who was a foundation player when the women’s program returned, and a growing group of State Team representatives. Our 2025 athletes include Ruby Dale (Vic), Shiori Hoshino (Qld), Kira Jansen (Vic), Mackenzie Prentice Evans (Vic), Saeko Suzuki (Vic), Kira Kuwamoto (Vic), Paula Doherty (Vic), Isy Zurawel (Vic Youth) and Ebony Sutherland (Qld). Training and competing alongside players of this calibre creates a powerful learning environment and inspires every member of the program to elevate their game.
